At CT Sunshine, our kindergarten classes are designed to provide a well-rounded and stimulating environment that nurtures the growth of young learners in all areas of development. Each class is carefully structured to balance structured learning, creative exploration, and social interaction. Here's a look at the key elements of our kindergarten classes:

Dancing Room

Children are exposed to different form of dance by an expert dance teacher. Our aim and passion is to introduce students to the joy of dance through a friendly but structured environment and to help students develop coordination, rhythm, strength and confidence through safe, correct and positive teaching methods.A mirrored wall on one side of the room allows children to see themselves as they follow the instructors.

The space is also well-lit with natural light streaming through large windows, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. Comfortable, colorful seating areas are placed around the room for resting or for small group activities. The overall environment feels open, spacious, and full of energy, encouraging children to express themselves through dance, whether they are twirling, hopping, or stretching.

Art & Drawing Room

The School has a colourful, spacious and well furnished room for art and craft activities. The students draw, colour and make drawings and sketches. Students are encouraged for clay modelling, paper flower making and flower arrangement. Students make wonderful creations out of the waste materials. Rangoli making in traditional patterns is taught. One of the objectives of education is to inculcate in children, the appreciation of beauty and to help them develop a sense of aesthetics. A lot of emphasis is placed on the Fine as well as the Performing Arts. In primary school, compulsory exposure is given to art and craft, music and dance, dramatics etc. In Middle school, each student chooses one or two areas to develop expertise in, and skilled guidance is provided on a regular basis.

The arts department at Gurukul is structured to initiate students in a multitude of expressionist media including pencil, pastels, crayons, clay and plaster.

Activity Room

The core idea of activity room in KG section is to engage the kids by providing then an environment that induces joy, happiness & creativity.Our little ones, the bundles of energy, possess an activity room with the latest toys and accessories according to the children's likings. Our little ones get to show their creativity through role play in the leisure time in this room.

The room has different sections, each dedicated to a specific type of activity. There is a cozy reading nook with soft cushions and bean bags where children can sit and explore picture books or listen to stories. Nearby, a small art corner is stocked with crayons, markers, paints, and craft materials for children to express their creativity through drawing and making crafts.

Smart Class

Huge emphasis is laid on technology intensive teaching. Audio visual aids like charts, models, video films, cassettes, filmstrips, overhead projector are used regularly. The child’s understanding is at a sensory perceptual level, thus the child best understands things which he/she can hear, see and feel. CTPS has tie arrangement with M/s Educomp Solutions Ltd.

Classrooms are equipped with Interactive Digiboard System with a PC connected to a dedicated Smart Class Knowledge Centre inside the School Campus.A trained Programme Administrator is deployed by Educomp to ensure real time technical and technical training support for teachers. The teachers’ computers in all smart class rooms are connected to a dedicated server installed in the Knowledge Centre through a campus-wide network. A powerful smart class application engine allows teachers to view and map relevant digital content for their classroom sessions as per their time tables and syllabus. Teachers use the digital resources such as animations, video clips and simulated models as part of their 35-40 minute class room period to teach the specific topics in smart class rooms, enabling a multi-sensory learning experience for students.

Language & Learning

Language lab is there to help the students to learn & experience the aesthetic touch of the languages. It helps in breaking the monotonous routine of the students and the teachers by holding seminars, discussion. The lab is also used for viewing of various documentaries and informative films.

The room is equipped with age-appropriate audio equipment, including headphones and speakers, allowing children to listen to stories, songs, and language exercises. There are several touch-screen tablets or computers with educational apps designed to teach vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple language skills through games and songs. In one corner, a reading nook with soft cushions and colorful bookshelves offers a cozy spot where children can explore picture books or listen to stories read aloud by the teacher.

Athletics

The athletics area is an open, spacious room or outdoor playground that is safe and well-organized for young children to explore different physical activities. Brightly colored mats cover the floor, providing a soft landing for jumps, rolls, and tumbles. If the space is outdoors, there are grassy areas and smooth, even surfaces for running, hopping, and other activities. The area is equipped with a variety of age-appropriate athletic equipment. There are small hurdles, cones, and soft, lightweight balls for games like relay races, ball tossing, and simple obstacle courses. Children can practice their balance with low beams or balance boards, and there are soft ropes for skipping or jumping. The equipment is designed to be safe and encourage movement at a pace suited to young learners.

Our school gives special importance to games and so it insists that all students should take part in all games. Students learn all types of games and sports with discipline and sportsmanship here

Horse Riding

Horse riding classes in a kindergarten school would typically focus on introducing young children to the basics of horsemanship in a fun, safe, and engaging way. These classes are designed to help children develop balance, coordination, and confidence while interacting with horses in a controlled environment.

Here’s a breakdown of what such classes might include:

Introduction to Horses: Children learn how to approach and interact with horses safely, including grooming, feeding, and understanding horse behavior.
Riding Basics: Kids might start with short, guided rides on gentle, trained horses, focusing on balance and posture. They may also practice holding the reins and using simple commands.
Games and Activities: To keep the classes fun, instructors often incorporate games, such as pony races, ring tossing, or obstacle courses, designed to develop their coordination and motor skills.
Learning Safety: Emphasis is placed on safety, with children wearing helmets and other protective gear. They are taught how to properly mount and dismount the horse and follow instructions to ensure their safety.
Building Confidence: These classes help children build confidence not only with horses but also in their ability to try new things, face challenges, and work together with the instructor and other students.
Developing Emotional Connections: Interaction with horses can also teach children empathy, responsibility, and the importance of animal care.
